Asbestos Removal

Alpha Environmental provide a total project management approach to the asbestos removal process. This comprehensive service for the safe and effective removal of asbestos containing materials extends to the following areas:

  • Preparation of a site specific asbestos removal specification and the calling of tenders for the removal work.
  • Liaison with representatives of the relevant authorities prior to and during the asbestos removal process.
  • Review of asbestos removal Control Plans prior to works commenceing.
  • Supervision of asbestos removal works to ensure that the asbestos removal is carried out in accordance with the requirements of stated based Regulations and the Worksafe Australia Asbestos Code of Practice.
  • Smoke testing and inspections of enclosures prior to the commencement of the asbestos removal.
  • Airborne asbestos fibre monitoring during the asbestos removal works.
  • Inspection of the work area following the asbestos removal work to ensure that the removal has been performed to a satisfactory standard.
  • Airborne asbestos fibre clearance monitoring following the asbestos removal work.
  • Issue of a clearance certificate following the removal works.
  • Provision of on-site laboratory facilities for the prompt analysis of airborne asbestos fibre levels.
  • Respirator facial fit testing of asbestos removal personnel.

Synthetic Mineral Fibres

Synthetic mineral fibres include mineral wools (rockwool and slagwool) glassfibre (fibreglass, glassfibre filament and superfine fibreglass) and refractory ceramic fibre.
